Hello My Name Is Abigail

Abigail, an acerbic 13 year old, has lived in the foster care system for years, but has never been adopted. She has attended numerous adoption parties (events created with the intention of matching children with prospective adoptive parents) and she has become hardened by rejection after rejection. Abigail takes on the identity of Le-a (pronounced Ledasha) to ward off anyone who might take an interest in her. However when she meets Jade, a talkative mortician, the pair quickly form a unique bond. Abigail must come to terms with her fear of rejection if she wants a chance at finding a family.
